What do I need to rent a car with Car Rental Kerala?
A valid driving licence (at least 1 year old), a government-issued photo ID Aadhaar or Passport — and a refundable security deposit. For outstation journeys, our team will walk you through any additional requirements when you book
Can I change or cancel my booking?
You can modify your booking through the website or app before your pickup time. For anything urgent, contact our support team directly. Please note: all booking amounts are non-refundable. Rescheduling is subject to vehicle availability.
Does the rental include insurance?
Standard vehicle insurance is included with every booking. We also offer optional premium cover plans for longer or outstation trips — ask our team which plan suits your journey.
Can I drop the car off after hours?
Yes, at select locations. Let us know in advance and we'll arrange a smooth after-hours return, including a vehicle condition check so your deposit is returned without delay.
How can I pay?
We accept all major debit and credit cards, UPI, net banking, and digital wallets including PhonePe and Google Pay. Full payment is taken at the time of booking and secured end-to-end.
What if the car breaks down?
Call us and we respond immediately — on-site assistance or a replacement vehicle, your choice. Breakdown cover is complimentary; charges only apply if the issue is caused by the renter.
Is there an age limit?
Yes — renters must be at least 23 years old with a minimum of 1 year of active driving experience. Premium vehicles may have additional criteria. Our team will confirm when you enquire.
What if I'm running late on the return?
Hourly charges apply for late returns. If you think you'll overrun, call ahead — we'll do our best to accommodate and help you avoid unnecessary fees.
Can someone else drive the car?
Yes. Additional drivers can be added to your agreement for a nominal fee. Each co-driver must present a valid licence and photo ID at pickup — have everything ready before you head off.
What's the fuel policy?
The car comes to you at a set fuel level. Return it at the same level or higher. Any shortfall will be charged at drop-off. Our advice: fill up before you come back — it's always the easier option.
